Introductory studies 25 ects

Introductory studies of educational technology concentrate on questions like:

-  What does educational technology mean?

-  What are the relevant learning theories  in educational technology studies

   (learning sciences -approach)?

-  What is the role of educational technology in modern society?

-  How can technology (ICT) support learning?

-  How to design, tutor and evaluate technology-enhanced learning?

During academic year 2009-2010 educational technology studies are implemented in collaboration with Open University of Oulu.

Courses in Educational Technology Introductory Studies 2010-2011:

• Educational technology in the changing society (4 ects)
• Digital portfolio - a way to support learning (4 ects)
• Pedagogical use of information and communication technologies (ICT) (6 ects)
• Project studies (6 ects)
• Designing learning with technology (5ects)

Courses in Educational Technology Introductory Studies 2011-2012:

• Introduction to learning and educational technology, 6 credits
• Learning theory and pedagogical use of ICT, 7 credits
• Designing Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), 6 credits
• Educational projects, 6 credits
